Greentek Recycling is dedicated to giving back to the community that supports our company. Through Project Greentoknology, we have taken the initiative of giving. We are excited to be able to make IT equipment accessible for all.
GRS believes our up-cycled electronics can benefit many lives by making internet technologies accessible to those in need. If you know of an organization that you feel would benefit from donated, refurbished IT equipment and electronics, please get in touch with us.
Mission 1 – October, 2014
PACE of Southern Piedmont
Greentek donated 6 computer workstations to PACE of Southern Piedmont. PACE stands for Program of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly. PACE is 19,000 square foot non-residential care facility incorporating healthcare, adult day care, medical services, transportation, and support for caregivers. PACE of Southern Piedmont is located in Charlotte, NC, and is an alternative to nursing home placement. Each computer workstation donated by Greentek includes a flatscreen monitor, a tower, a keyboard, a mouse, and speakers. The computers are being used in a new computer center for the facility. The computer workstations will allow adults at the facility to have full internet and computer capabilities, which are not always available to them in their own homes.
Mission 2 - September 2015
Parkside Elementary School is a 39 classroom elementary school located on Johnston-Oehler Road. It was built to relieve crowding at Highland Creek Elementary School and was successfully occupied for the first time in August 2015. Greentek donated computer mice to help the school furnish computer stations for pupils.
